NYC-based dream pop and shoegaze luminaries Dead Leaf Echo have had a rather ceremonious year thus far. In addition to a successful West Coast tour, the band has recently reissued their debut LP Pale Fire on Moon Sounds Records. Last, but not least, the band has just released a live KEXP radio session, documenting a new lineup, debuting a handful of new tracks, and celebrating a victory lap on their most recent tour. Watch below:

The session is a joyous affair; bright lights, crisp sound, and a band firing on all cylinders as they run through three brand new songs as well as the title track from the aforementioned debut LP. In addition to the band’s core lineup, the new tracks also feature synths, guitar, and vocals by new member Niabi Aquena (Searmanas) and will appear on the band’s upcoming LP, The Mercy of Women, which is currently being recorded in Brooklyn, NY at Studio G.

KEXP session tracklisting:
1. Boo
2. Another Breath, Another Sigh
3. Call
4. Pale Fire

For those in NYC, catch Dead Leaf Echo live on August 16th at Brooklyn Bazaar. The band is performing as part of a stacked re:nü lineup alongside The Holy Circle, Weeknight, Jelly Kelly, and Romantic Thriller. Check out the flyer and event details below:
