The Smiths | The Queen is Dead

On June 16th 1986, The Smiths released their fan favorite third album The Queen is Dead. The record features the singles “The Boy With the Thorn in His Side” and “Bigmouth Strikes Again”, and There Is a Light That Never Goes Out as well as the lamenting tearjerker “I Know It’s Over” which was later covered by Jeff Buckley—who was an avid fan of The Smiths, and this very album

Watch above the short film “The Queen is Dead” by Derek Jarman, which features “The Queen Is Dead” (song), “Panic”(non-album single), and “There Is a Light That Never Goes Out”.
