The Pixies have announced their seventh studio album Beneath the Eyrie, the follow-up to 2016’s Head Carrier, and have unveiled the new track “On Graveyard Hill”.

This is the band’s third reunion record after parting ways with bassist Kim Deal, with the current featuring original members Black Francis, David Lovering, Joey Santiago, along with and bassist Paz Lenchantin.

The band recorded the album’s 12 new tracks this past December at Dreamland Recordings near Woodstock, N.Y with producer Tom Dalgety, who worked with the band previously with Head Carrier.

Listen to “On Graveyard Hill” Below:

Beneath the Eyrie was previously teased with the announcement of the Past Is Prologue podcast, which came out this month.

“Imagine that 14 years after returning to the scene, you’re back in the studio recording a new album to build on your legacy and take your place at the forefront of the genre that YOU created,” said the band in a statement. “Imagine that you’re a member… of the Pixies.”

They continued: “Every episode will document the band’s new music, from its earliest stages through to completion, giving fans the opportunity to witness the evolution of the tracks.”

Beneath the Eyrie is due out September 13th and is available for pre-order from the band in several formats such as vinyl, CD, cassette and digital. There’s also a deluxe edition box set that includes the album on both CD and Vinyl, plus a second disc of nine demos on clear vinyl.

In promotion of the record, the Pixies are hitting the road on its release date for an extensive tour throughout the EU and UK. As it stands, The Cure’s Pasadena Dream Fest is the only date announced so far for North America (see full dates below).
