A deep, lamenting voice that is accompanied by electronic sounds equally as poignant. A white, slender body dancing another kind of danse macabre on stage. It’s fitting that Lebanon Hanover’s William Maybelline would leave the grim north of the United Kingdom to perform on the mainland of Europe – a continent once depopulated by the plague and ravaged by many a war – with his solo project QUAL (German for “torment”) under the tour name DISEASE X.
In addition to songs from his debut album Sable (2015), the audience will get a sneak prelisten to some “new de-compositions from album II”, as William announced via Facebook. Any details regarding the new album are still cloaked in secrecy, however, an all around harsher approach compared to Sable is confirmed.
