Italian Darkwave Artist Numa Echos Debuts Video for Desolate Single “Infected Circles”

The concept of “infected circles,” similar to crop circles, symbolizes a poisoned and flattened existence from which one must escape to rediscover beauty. These circles represent stagnation, decay, and the void created by unrealized dreams and unfulfilled ambitions. They embody the smoke of vain words—promises unkept and ideas never realized. To escape these circles, we must confront the areas where our lives have stagnated, requiring honesty and courage to let go of comforting illusions.

Rediscovering beauty involves seeing beyond the desolation, recognizing the potential for regeneration and growth even amidst decay. It means transforming superficiality into genuine, impactful actions and turning unfulfilled ambitions into a driving force for positive change. Infected circles remind us of the importance of resilience and renewal, challenging us to move beyond stagnation and rediscover the deep beauty in purposeful living, striving for a more vibrant and fulfilling existence.

The gothic-tinged track from Italian polymath Numa Echos, Infected Circles, speaks to our need for personal revolution. It is part exorcism, part manifestation ritual, featuring her unique vocals that range from demonic to angelic: the track melds rock, dark, industrial, trip-hop, metal, and new wave influences.

Numa Echos is a multifaceted artist, effortlessly navigating poetry, music, artistic photography, and painting. Her diverse background has seen her participate in various music festivals and independent rock radio programs. As an art director, singer, and instrumentalist, she performs live shows and collaborates with artists like Morgan, Fluon, and Quintorigo. Her DJ sets are renowned for their distinctive blend of danceable rhythms and melancholic dark sounds, reflecting her expansive and eclectic artistic vision.

The second official video for Infected Circles by Numa Echos presents a metaphor of “infected circles,” much like crop circles, symbolizing a poisoned and flattened existence. This visual metaphor speaks to the need to escape these desolate patterns to rediscover beauty. It also reflects the smoke of vain words, unrealized projects, and unfulfilled ambitions for change.
