Los Angeles Industrial Trio Fact Pattern Amputate Toxicity in Their Video for “Appendage”

Los Angeles Industrial Trio Fact Pattern returns with a disquieting and unsettling means of expression in a world hellbent on setting them apart. Channeling the likes of Skinny Puppy and Type O Negative, the trio: Ian Flux (vocals, guitars, keys, and programming), Jack Lowd (bass, vocals), and Corey Hirsch (drums), blends heavy guitars, rhythmic drumming, and bass with metallic samples. They reach a cathartic conclusion in their poetry with “Appendage”, bringing in harsher sound and stronger melodic content.

Inspired by the Panos Cosmatos film Beyond the Black Rainbow, the video for “Appendage”, directed by Ian Flux, features bassist Jack Lowd and Samantha Franco (Bara Hari) embodying characters engaged in a psychedelic & psychological war between captive and keeper. We also see shades of The Man Who Fell To Earth and Blade Runner here.

“At its core, the song is about the gratification and reward of letting go from toxic and abusive relationships. Whether it be close family, close friends, or lovers,” says the band.

Fact Pattern’s new EP entitled From Where You’re Hiding, is out now via Re:Mission Entertainment. The album contains five new songs, plus two bonus remixes by Dread Risks and Black Magnet exclusive to the CD release, but will later be released as digital singles.
