Wax Trax! Records, the Chicago store founded by lovers Jim Nash and Dannie Flesher quietly became a cult label in the 80s, overlapping the fringe gay, punk and BDSM cultures, with a massive influence on industrial dance music.

As previously reported on Post-Punk.com, Jim’s daughter Julia Nash has developed the documentary “Industrial Accident: The Story of Wax Trax! Records”, which has, so far, only been screened at film festivals and special events.

The doc features interviews with Steve Albini, Jello Biafra, Chris Connelly, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Dave Grohl, Al Jourgensen, Ian MacKaye, Trent Reznor and so many more.

Now, music fans worldwide will get a chance to watch not only watch the documentary on DVD, but will also be able to pick up the official soundtrack, with both being released on April 16th, 2019.

The soundtrack for the doc will be issued on several different vinyl editions which include a 40 page booklet, and ten “unreleased, out-of-print and classic songs” by Ministry, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Revolting Cocks, The Young Gods and more. (See full tracklist below.)

The CD version, in lieu of the booklet, instead promises 4 mystery bonus tracks.

Listen to an unheard, unreleased track by Revolting Cocks from the soundtrack below or by calling 1-833-WAX-TRAX.

Both the film and it soundtrack are now available for pre-order here.
