SDH (Semiotics Department Of Heteronyms), the more synth-driven project from Andrea P. Latorre and Sergi Algiz, who are also known for being members Spanish post-punk band Wind Atlas, have released their beautifully intimate video for “The Scent”.

In mesmerizing slow motion, the video highlights several pairings of intimacy, gay, straight, and interspecies, the later of which includes a boy wearing a Coil shirt being kissed on his head by his dog, underscoring the fact that we are all animals deeply connected by the familiarity our scent—one of the 5 main senses linked to intense emotional memory.

SDH elaborate on how the captured this beautiful delirium on film:

“We recorded some beautiful moments with our sleep deprived friends during a ridiculously long party. We love our friends so much, we wanted them on the video, we want them with us along the way, they’re so important to us it’s almost physical. Don’t trouble them.”

Semiotics Department Of Heteronyms is out June 6th.
