Skeleton Hands premiere ‘Gardens’ ahead of release of new album ‘Wake’

“The Dreams of youth are the regrets of maturity”

Following up their highly lauded debut album Gone, Skeleton Hands are returning with their sophomore LP Wake.

The album was painstakingly recording over the past 4 years, utilizing the raw, low-fidelity sounds using the most basic gear—proving that it is often your limitations that breed creativity.

In this age of nostalgia, Wake seems to be an album that with defiant romanticism questions if the “dreams of youth are the regrets of maturity”, and how can one actually grow into a mature existence through the trials and tribulations of jealousy, prejudice, self-sabotage, perseverance, confidence, love lost, and acceptance of death?

Listen to the first single Gardens above. The sound is a perfumed maelstrom of melodic drone guitars and danceable rhythms, tearing you apart with the refrain:

“the devil has tempted your heart.”

Wake will be available via cassette in limited quantities on Skeleton Hands’ upcoming West Coast Tour this October, which features dates at Das Bunker’s 21st Anniversary and the highly anticipated Cloak and Dagger Festival.

9 copies will be available at each show while another 9 will be given away via the band’s label—RACECAR Ltd’s Instagram account, giving everyone who wants it early access to the album before its official release later this year.

Wake receives it’s official release on October 20th.
