Night Sins is Back in the Leather Clad Black Celebration “Annihilator”

Musician Kyle Kimball is back with his solo project Night Sins, but instead of the guitar-driven Gothic Rock we have come to know on the previous three Night Sins LP’s, this time the music is infused unadulterated dark synth-pop and EBM, that as Revolver points out “recalls That Total Age-era Nitzer Ebb and Depeche Mode”—a far cry from what we last heard from the project on 2017’s Dancing Chrome.

This unexpected turn of events is boldly illustrated in the video for “Annihilator”, a song whose title alone recalls the name of Depeche Mode’s 1991 LP, where Kimball fuses Gahan’s vocal style into his own Reznor-esque “Black Celebration”—leading leather-clad goth lovelies to continue their reverie long after the fog machines and strobe lights have given way to the morning sun.

“Annihilator” is featured on Night Sin’s forthcoming fourth LP Portrait in Silver, set for a September 6th release via Funeral Party Records
