Love and Rockets rose from the ashes of Bauhaus’ split in 1985, eager to create something truly unique. Named after the Hernandez brothers’ comic book, Daniel Ash, David J, and Kevin Haskins released seven albums over the course of thirteen years. Their debut single, a radical reimagining of the Temptations’ “Ball of Confusion,” quickly established them as a formidable force in the music world as a fixture on dance floors and college radio. Their mix of spirituality, romance, harmonization, and fantastic psychedelia took them out of the “gothic” realm of their former band, expanding their horizons as musicians and lyricists.

In the world of alternative music, Love and Rockets command immense respect and reverence to this day. Over the years, Love and Rockets’ influence only grew, with an impressive list of artists citing them as a source of inspiration, including The Flaming Lips, The Dandy Warhols, Jane’s Addiction, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Beck, Maynard Keenan, Dubfire, and Pixies. Their sonic innovations continue to captivate audiences with their legacy of creative freedom and imagination.

Love and Rockets have announced a small tour following their upcoming performance at the Cruel World Festival on May 20th in Pasadena, CA, with concerts in Oakland, California; Salt Lake City, Utah; Portland, Oregon; and Seattle, Washington. Their last full tour happened in 1999, in support of their studio album Lift. Since then, the band has only played a select number of concerts and festival dates (such as Coachella and Lollapalooza) in 2007 and 2008. Fans around the world eagerly await the chance to experience their legendary sound once more.
