Italian Coldwave Duo Christabel Dreams debut the video for “Dead Dance”, the second single from their forthcoming new album Our kind of Place.

The song is a bass-driven atmospheric ballad that glitters with the dark romance of vocalist Christian Gatti’s charismatic new wave croon, and the soft thoughtful, and melodic synth composition courtesy Emmanuele Viola.

Shot with minimalist red and blue light over a dark studio set, the video for “Dead Dance” is both an intimate affair and a seductive embrace to the senses, entreating one to slow dance with a partner, or alone in a lovelorn bedroom.

Watch the video for “Dead Dance” below:

The duo of Christabel Dreams—Emmanuele Viola (bass and synth) and Christian Gatti (voice), recently decided to take their music in a new direction, moving to new electronic sound, boldly obtaining from utilizing the guitar.

It is with this in mind that the two brought their debut album out to the darkness, representing the human condition,  and the array of triumphs and struggles resulting from ambitions, dreams, pride, and the overall animus of being alive.

Life is challenging, and with their music Chistabels Dreams explores the challenges of how precious time ultimately is, and how short our lives are.  Disappointments and broken dreams are inevitable, but through music, it may be possible to overcome despair and find that extraordinary place within where the fire still burning.

On their debut album Our Kind of Place, the songs were written in the midst of SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, and serve as a sort of secret diary. With their haunting melodies, these ghosts from the past create a personal soundtrack of experiences, dating from the end of the first decade of the new millennium, until now.

Our Kind of Place is out November 12th, 2021 via Wave Records.
