Singer Paul Banks is flexing his film-making chops again—with the release today of the video for Interpol’s “Everything is Wrong”. The film is a gritty, black & white, and very intimate portrait of the band walking the streets of New York—that would be quite at home in a Jim Jarmusch film.
In the video, drummer Sam Fogarino is quite a charmer, wooing a pretty lady walking her dog ; guitarist Daniel Kessler is a bit of a Boy Scout who eats icecream and helps an old lady cross the street; but Paul however—he wanders around with his bodyguard harassing people on the sidewalks acting like an arrogant jerk. (Just in case you missed it, the woman being leered at by Paul in the video’s intro is none other than music video veteran—and model Helena Christensen).
Meanwhile, the band are tirelessly touring in promotion of their latest album El Pintor with headlining concerts and festival appearances (such as being announced in yesterday’s Primavera Sound lineup). You can check out Interpol’s 2015 North American tour Itinerary below
