Gucci Goth? 2016 Fashion campaign features Joy Division cover by minimal band Alive She Died

[dropcap]Gucci[/dropcap] goes Goth? Maybe, minus the Kung Fu and Gangsta city of the former “Gucci Goth” now known as Black Black Gold, but certainly leaving in the Hippie part.  Not saying the fashion is terrible, I actually quite like it, but it certainly doesn’t fit with the atmosphere of 80s Greek Synth-Wave band Alive She Died. But despite the out of sync Peanuts style dancing meets Austin Powers aesthetic I’ll take it.

And just when you think it could not get any weirder, in the next campaign video has the models running around like extra in an Austin Powers film to the precious melody of Q Lazurus’ Goodbye Horses.

I would have expected choices like this from someone like Rick Owens
