The Soft Moon had their equipment and merchandise stolen while performing in Oakland last night

[dropcap]Our[/dropcap] friends at The Soft Moon were robbed while performing in Oakland on January 29th. Their tour had already been financially strained, due to the headliner Killing Joke having to cancel due to a band illness.  Please see the info regarding their GOFUNDME below:

“Last night (January 29th 2016),  The Soft Moon played @ The New Parish in Oakland, CA. It was an amazing show. We had such a blast. Unfortunately when we went to the van to start loading out, we discovered that someone broke into our van and stole everything that was inside.

This is the list of the stuff that was stolen:
-Moog  Sub 37 synth BRAND NEW (still sealed, inside the box) PRICE: $1600
-Fender Stratocaster guitar
-3x luggage w/clothes, shoes, personal effects
-1x Apple iPad
-$2000 in Soft Moon T-shirts and tote bags
-$5000 in Soft Moon records (LPs, CDs, Cassettes)

We had to cancel our show in Las Vegas to deal with this mess. BUT, this will not stop us and we will be continuing the tour and playing San Francisco on January 31st.

People have contacted us asking if they could help/donate as we are now facing a huge financial loss. Killing Joke cancelling on us was bad enough, but this has set us back considerably. We set up this page for those who would like to help. The money raised will be used to print new merch, buy the stolen gear and new clothes. If you can’t donate, come to the show and show your support. We’d love to see you.  Tour dates below.

Thanks for the continued love and support,

Luis Vasquez / The Soft Moon
