EBM legends Front 242 have announced their Black To Square One US Tour in celebration of nearly 40 years of existence.
Formed in 1981 near Leuven in Aarschot, Belgium, Front 242, a group fronted by vocalist Jean-Luc De Meyer, have become synonymous with Industrial EBM (February 24th is even known as international EBM day in the group’s honor).
The Black to Square One tour follows the infamous gig at Planet Myer Day in Leipzig Germany this past January, and series of European festival dates that stretch from March into May.
One-stop on the tour is at the Metro in Chicago for the ninth incarnation of the Cold Waves Industrial-Music festival in Chicago, as well as headlining a Cold Waves’ Wax Trax! Showcase for a September 24th event at The Mayan Theater with The Young Gods, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, Paul Barker, Chris Connelly and more.
