On Monday via the Einstürzende Neubauten Facebook page, the band announced that frontman Blixa Bargeld had been injured, and the status of the remaining shows on the LAMENT tour were in jeopardy
Blixa injured himself during the LAMENT performance in Italy and is in need of medical attention. We are therefore very sorry to announce the cancellation of the upcoming Istanbul show.
Sadly,  via a follow-up post today that as per Doctor’s orders, Blixa needs some time to recover, and the band have cancelled all remaining shows.
We have now received Blixa’s doctor`s decision that he will unfortunately not be able to proceed any further shows this year.
That`s why we have to cancel upcoming shows in Moskow and St.Petersburg with regret.
Blixa injured himself during the LAMENT performance in Italy and needed medical attention.
If alternative dates can be found is not foreseeable at the moment.
We will be posting all info asap.
We hope for Blixa`s speedy recovery and wish him all the best!
We indeed hope Blixa makes a rapid recovery, and that either he is well enough to reschedule the remaining LAMENT performances, or in time for the rumored “Greatest Hits Tour” this spring.
