Billy Idol | Rebel Yell

On November 10th, 1983, Billy Idol released his second solo record Rebel Yellnamed after the bourbon he drank at a party with The Rolling Stones. The album continued the collaboration with guitarist Steve Stevens, and producer Keith Forsey—which resulted in all of the album’s singles being hits, with three, in particular, gaining heavy rotation on MTV.

Billy Idol’s longtime girlfriend Perri Lister of the dance troop Hot Gossip can be seen in the front row during the “Rebel Yell” video, and had previously starred in the video for ‘White Wedding” from Idol’s 1982 self-titled debut. Lister also sings the French refrain “Les yeux sans visage” for the single “Eyes Without a Face”.
