Belgrado releases new album ‘Obraz’ + US and Mexico tour dates

Barcelona post-punk band Belgrado released their new album Obraz yesterday for streaming and digital purchase. Since their last LP Siglo XXI released in 2013 and their self-titled LP in 2011, Belgrado has become one of the forerunners of the scene – and for good reason. Obraz is heavily influenced by pure 80s guitar-based post-punk as we’ve come to expect from Belgrado, with Patrycja Proniewska’s vocals reminiscent of some of our favorite girl-fronted bands, such as Anja Huwe from X-Mal Deutschland.  There is no date for the hard-copy release of Obraz, but it will include a 28 page illustrated booklet. From their Bandcamp:

Obraz is a deconstruction of reality to its basic forms and most primitive elements. The starting point after maximum destruction.
A reconstruction towards a new reality. The world of images and a thousand spectacles, fragmented, dismantled and reassembled. Dynamism, rhythm, energy and movement. Creative sense over technique. Reality is a construction that we ourselves create.

In conjunction with the release of Obraz, Belgrado will tour Mexico and the United States in August. Tour dates below:

8/6 – San Antonio, Texas / San La Muerte Fest III

8/7 – Monterrey, Mexico
8/9 – San Luis Potosí, Mexico
8/10 – Colima, Mexico
8/11 – Guadalajara, Mexico
8/12 – Ciudad De México

8/14 – Los Angeles / Berserktown III
8/15 – Santa Rosa, California
8/16 – Oakland, California
8/17 – San Francisco, California
8/19 – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
8/20 – New York City / Nowhere to Run Festival
