30th anniversary special editions of U2’s ‘The Joshua Tree’ announced!

On March 9th, 1987, Irish Post-Punk band U2 released their fifth studio album The Joshua Tree. To celebrate this milestone, along with the band’s Joshua Tree tour. Bono and Co have announced a new expanded, multi-format reissue of the album that will include B-sides, outtakes—Plus a concert recorded during 1987 at New York’s Madison Square Garden and a set of newly commissioned remixes.

The Joshua Tree: 30th Anniversary Edition will be released on June 2nd, will be available in a wide variety of physical and digital formats including: a 7LP Vinyl Super Deluxe Box Set, a 4-disc Super Deluxe CD Box Set, a 2-disc Deluxe CD Edition, single-disc vinyl and CD editions, and a full digital release.

You can preorder now via U2.com—the special edition sets will be released a few weeks after U2 embarks on its Joshua Tree 30th anniversary tour.
