In the year of the 35th anniversary of their debut LP, First and Last and Always, The Sisters of Mercy’s touring itinerary continues to expand with gigs across Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and five South America dates throughout Brazil, Uruguay, and Chile.
The first dates scheduled in 2019 for Andrew Eldritch and Co will begin with five festivals dates throughout June, July, August.
The proper tour, however, is set to begin a pair of shows in late September in London followed by 18 concerts across continental Europe and five shows in Australia, and one in New Zealand.
Can we expect more surprises on this Sisters’ tour like that in 2017, where Andrew Eldritch resurrected “Walk Away,” the 1984 single co-written by Eldritch and then-bandmate Wayne Hussey, for the first time since 1985? That song had been previously played for the last time during the “Wake” concert at the Royal Albert Hall, that was the final concert of the First and Last and Always era of The Sisters of Mercy.
