The Cure to Headline Glastonbury Festival

Among the myriad amount of festival dates booked for 2019, it has been announced this morning that The Cure are finally booked for Glastonbury Festival again.

Previously The Cure headlined the legendary Worthy Farm festival back in 1986, 1990 and 1995,

At the prospects of playing the festival again, Cure frontman Robert Smith told BBC 6 this past fall:

“Yeah, maybe. We haven’t had a happy history with Glastonbury over the years. Although we’ve headlined three times, we’ve never been on the best of terms.I don’t know if they forgive and forget. There are enough other festivals for us to play.”

The Cure were announced along with The Killers as the final two Pyramid Stage headliners.

The Cure are slated to perform Sunday, June 30th.
