Spanish darkwave trio DILK has announced their upcoming album Hardship, which is set for release on January 17th, 2020. Recorded, mixed, and mastered in Brazil Studio (Madrid), the band describes the album as being about:
“The constant search for identity, the (un)love, and the unreasonable existence. The shortness of life and its imminent end. About the feeling of not fitting in, or not being understood. „HARDSHIP“ collects the deepest and primary duels of the human being, takes your hand and invites you to dance.”
Despite the darkness permeating the sound of the poppy yet tenebrous tracks on the LP (such as the brooding and phenomenal Graveyard Orbit, DILK retains a sense of humour, which is evident from the tongue in cheek lo-fi 80s inspired video for their song named after the god of death, “Pluto”.
Hardship is out via Cold Transmission Music on January 17th, 2020.
