Channeling the likes of Elvis Costello, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, The Cars, Split Enz, and The Tubes, San Diego trio The Slashes write post-punk music for the modern era. Their new track “Ripped Genes” is two minutes of raw energy featuring a late 70s to early 80s vibe, boasting a powerful hook and raw, emotive lyrics. The band describes themselves as “Border Goth.”
