Peter Hook to release new book “Substance : Inside New Order”

[dropcap]Following[/dropcap] the release of his 2013 book Unknown Pleasures: Inside Joy Division , former Joy Division and New Order Bassist Peter Hook is publishing the followup which focuses on New Order.  Named after the compilation album, the aptly titled Substance : Inside New Order get’s a E…for effort, and the book may refuse to acknowledge the existence of New Order in it’s current Music Complete incarnation, given the synopsis below:

Despite their success, the band has always been a collision of the visionary and the volatile and often fraught with tensions. Hooky chronicles how these relationships fell apart, detailing the splits, further splits and the ultimate demise of the band in 2006.

Despite what side of the fence you are on in the feud, or morely so if your name is Paul, and that’s between ya’ll, Substance : Inside New Order should be an interesting read, especially these “geek facts”, as vintage synthesizers are quite in a the moment.
