Peter Hook and The Light Announce “Joy Division: A Celebration” North American Dates for 2022

Peter Hook and The Light have announced “Joy Division: A Celebration” North American Dates for 2022.  The setlist for each concert will feature the famed bassist and his band performing the albums Unknown Pleasures and Closer in their entirety, along with Joy Division’s early Warsaw material, tracks from their compilation album Still which recently celebrated its 40th anniversary.

The setlist will also include the last two songs the Joy Division wrote: “Ceremony” and “In a Lonely Place”, which though recorded live and as demos, were later included as the A and B-sides of New Order’s debut single. In addition to these, Peter Hook and the Light will open each show with a selection of New Order tracks.

The 26-date tour will commence on August 11th and 12th with two shows at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto. The itinerary will continue throughout August into September, with gigs at the Metro in Chicago, Mohawk in Austin, and Ace Hotel in Los Angeles featuring two nights each, before finishing up on September 14th at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver.

Tickets for all shows are set to go on sale on Friday, October 22nd, at 10 a.m. local time. Presales start on October 20th at 10 a.m. local time and end on October 21st at 10 p.m. local time.
