Parisian Shoegaze act Pencey Sloe have unveiled their video for “All OK”, the second single culled from their forthcoming debut LP Don’t Believe, Watch Out, following the spellbinding dream-pop track “Lust of the Dead”.
Among Pencey Sloe’s growing circle of admirers dwell well-established musicians like Alcest’s Neige, who praised the band stating that he “instantly fell in love with their dark, ethereal sound. I think they are one of the most promising French bands”.
The comparison to Alcest is more than apt, as Pencey Sloe are label mates with the post-metal shoegaze band, being signed to Prophecy Productions for the release of their new album.
With sweeping guitars and ethereal vocals playing out the soundscapes of the heart while the haze of sleep clings to the waking mind, “All OK” is accompanied by a video that augments the mood, surreally depicting the zeitgeist “It’s fine…” with its protagonist draped in a red veil as he drifts through his morning routine from bed to front door.

Conjuring sonic tapestries that evoke the same mood and atmosphere of Slowdive, Low, Chelsea Wolfe, or Esben and the Witch, Don’t Believe, Watch Out is certainly an album to look forward to this autumn.
The record comes September 27th.
