Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark premiere ‘The View From Here’ off of their upcoming album ‘The Punishment of Luxury’

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark have premiered yet another track off of the group’s upcoming 13th full-length LP The Punishment of Luxury —  the slow and lovely ballad The View From Here, which you can listen to above.

The song follows the title track The Punishment of Luxury, which was named after an 1891 painting by the Italian artist Giovani Segantini,

and the disco infused  Isotype,

plus the short and cinematic La Mitrailleuse, which included an animated video

On the album’s creation singer Andy McCluskey explains:

“we have managed to make beautiful things out of noises and repetitive patterns,”

 “The trouble is, we just cant help but write a catchy melody!”

And the melodies are indeed catchy! The new album The Punishment of Luxury, which certainly is pleasure on the ears—is due out September 1st via White Noise Records.
