While we are waiting for that orchestrally synth record due out this fall, Stephen Morris & Gillian Gilbert of New Order have treated us to a segment of Amoeba’s “What’s in my Bag”.  Highlights include the purchase of a Television shirt, to reminiscing on the upright percussion of Bobby Gillespie from The Jesus and Mary Chain, the funk of Sly and the Family Stone, and the reggae of Desmond Dekker.  Closing out the segment, regarding the Brion Gysin novel “The Process”, is a mention of that infamous encounter of Ian Curtis and William Burroughs at the Plan K in Belgium, where the later told the former to “Fuck off”.
