Minor Victories – Film One, a preview film of the upcoming album from the supergroup with members of Editors, Slowdive, Mogwai, and Hand Held Cine Club

[dropcap]Minor Victories[/dropcap], the supergroup of Slowdive’s Rachel Goswell, Editors’ Justin Lockey,Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite, and James Lockey of Hand Held Cine Club just announced their formation, and that their debut album is in the works. Above is a preview via short film that is a work of art in itself: Minor Victories – Film One, featuring what appears to be a small taste of two tracks—with the latter one sounding like Revolver-Era Beatles meets Editors.

This is Minor Victories – film one. You could call it a teaser trailer? Album trailer? album trailer teaser? Stripteaser trailer teaser? Super internet trailer of tease based on an album? Long player teaser moviefilm? The prequel to the sequel to the adaptation based on the remake of the original teaser…trailer…?

It’s not really any of the above… Just the First hello.-James Lockey
