Berlin-based singer Laura Carbone is hitting the road this January in support of her second studio LP Empty Sea with nine dates scheduled through Germany, and one in Vienna, Austria.
Laura’s music is a melange of Lynchian Americana dripping in soft sleepwalking shoegaze and caustic garage rock. Check out the trailer for Laura’s “Empty Sea Tour” below:
Additionally, if you have not seen it all ready, check out Laura’s collaboration with Kip Berman of The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, recorded between Brooklyn and Berlin and released this past September, the song captures the sort of Alternative Rock vibe that would feel at home on a mix tape with Mazzy Star and The Sundays circa 1991.
For the tour’s opening act, Laura Carbone announced this week that she has enlisted Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys as a special guest.
Kruger, who is also one half of dream noise duo, Medicine Boy (Fuzz Club). has music that conjures a bewitching presence from the skeletal yet resonate ambience born of sparse instrumentations that bring forth vocals are almost just a hum and a breath in a silent room.
Last year Kruger released her first full length album, Summer’s Not That Simple. Watch the video for “Black Spot “below:
