Joy Division’s second and final studio album Closer, which came out four decades ago on July 18th, 1980, is set to receive a special 40th-anniversary reissue of the record on clear vinyl to celebrate the album’s release.

In addition to the LP re-release of the critically acclaimed and highly influential record, Joy Division’s non-album singles “Transmission”, “Atmosphere”, and “Love Will Tear Us Apart” will also be reissued on the same day with new “2020 remastered audio”.

Each record will be cut on 180g vinyl, featuring the original artwork on a heavyweight board. “Transmission”, which originally featured the Orion Nebula on its 7-inch cover art, will feature the embossed sleeve of its 12-inch version.

There is a Closer (40th Anniversary) Vinyl Bundle of the album and all three singles available for $64.98.
