Italian Darkwave act The Coventry have unveiled their video for “Failed”, a track culled from the group’s latest album Deep Detachment.
The band who take their name “The Coventry” from the HMS Coventry, a destroyer ship of the Royal Navy that fought the Falklands war, are unapologetically aim to evoke the sonorous post-punk and gothic rock sounds of the 80s, and with “Failed” they certainly succeed.
Their sound characterized by massive use of drum machines and warm rising synths, melodic lead guitars and deep crooning vocals, is showcased in the video for “Failed”, a clip beautifully shot as a man runs across the roads throughout the Adriatic side of southern Italy, cutting to the band performing in studio.
