Industrial Outfit SPANKTHENUN Debut New Single “Chrome”

Kiss the chrome!

The audacious industrial outfit from Dallas, Texas, SPANKTHENUN, is set to unveil “CHROME,” the seventh act in a series of monthly caustic cavalcades, each a prelude to the impending apocalyptic symphony that is “The Bunker Tapes VOL III.” Like clockwork, they gift us a new single each month, gradually leading to up the release of their forthcoming new album.

“CHROME,” akin to an echo bouncing relentlessly off the cavernous walls of our collective consciousness, is a spectral electro-industrial rhythm, crowned with a growling refrain. It rings and reverberates, an aural apparition haunting the manifold remixes and reinterpretations that it births. The track is unapologetically confrontational, a full-frontal assault of auditory stimulation that enthralls and ensnares. Its seismic beats resonate within and puts the body’s core into motion whilst a lewd bassline slithers and writhes in the underbelly of the track.

In the thrilling world of SPANKTHENUN, the industrial beat is not merely sound; it is a living, pulsating entity, a beast that awakens and stirs, compelling you to stomp your feet and flail your arms.

Listen and purchase below:

CHROME was written, recorded and produced by SPANKTHENUN at Glitch Studios in Dallas – “the home of best industrial bands in the world,” the band asserts. The single also includes exciting remixes of the track from Extize, Gutenberg, and Psyence Fiction.

In a maneuver as calculated as it is audacious,  electro-industrial stalwarts SPANKTHENUN are lining up a new single each month. This cavalcade of rhythm and raw energy is all part of the countdown to their eagerly awaited album, “The Bunker Tapes VOL III,” set to shake the music landscape in Summer 2023.

This regular injection of potent singles will resonate across all prominent streaming platforms, serving as a consistent beacon of the band’s unyielding commitment to their distinctive sound. Yet, SPANKTHENUN has something extra up their sleeve for the ardent followers craving more via Bandcamp, where a medley of exclusive remixes will be available, offering a fresh perspective on their monthly releases.

The single release of “Chrome” is rounded out with remixes from notable artists in the scene. Dark Tunes recording artists and luminaries Extize have lent their touch to the track. In a rare U.S. appearance, Japanese noise artist GUTENBERG, known in other circles as Shouji Sakurai, also contributes to the diverse soundscape of ‘Chrome.’ In addition, emerging talent Psyence Fiction is featured, further broadening the eclectic mix on this release.
