Happy 57th Birthday Siouxsie Sioux

Today the Mother of “Goth” and Post-Punk Siouxsie Sioux turns 57.  31 years ago, Robert Smith was in The Banshees, replacing the legendary John McGeoch (big shoes to fill, even for Bob). To celebrate her birthday, here is the Alice in Wonderland inspired ‘Play At Home special’ which features spoken word pieces and performances by The Creatures (Weathercade), Banshees (Circle), and The Glove (A Blues in Drag).

U.K.’s Channel 4 in 1983 Riverside program originally aired the special which has since been included on the “Nocturne” DVD.

Enjoy!

and as a bonus, here is the rare video for the single Swimming Horses which turned 30 years old on March 16th
