Lo-fi German Garage Outfit Wolf Mountains have rolled up with their video for VHS recorded video “No Means No”, a track featured on the band’s forthcoming third studio album Urban Dangerous.
All three members of Wolf Mountains are seasoned musicians, having played for years in a variety of different bands including Levin Goes Lightly, All Diese Gewalt, Karies and Mosquito Ego, and popular Indie post-punk group Die Nerven, of which the drummer is currently a member.
Urban Dangerous was recorded in the studio of Marcel Römer, drummer of the band Juli. together with Max Rieger (among others producer of Drangsal and Ilgen-Nur).
“No Means No” is both an energetic and languid exhale of classic Noise Rock infused with Disco Pop, and overtly cheeky and nostalgic.
“We feel that ‘No Means No’ is probably the most accessible pop single on our album ‘Urban Dangerous’, (though some might beg to differ). So we figured that song needed a proper pop video with cool dancing and performance. There’s some influence that was taken from Pittsburgh musician Weird Paul Petroskeys ‘homemade’ music videos and some shit we saw in a Simply Red video.”
