Depeche Mode’s Dave Gahan featured on Null + Void’s “Where I Wait”

Dave Gahan, Depeche Mode’s frontman, lends his enchanting vocal talents to Null + Void‘s “Where I Wait”, a hauntingly cold electronic track that seeps in the beautiful romance of melancholy. The video, directed by Tim Saccenti who recently filmed Depeche Mode’s Highline Sessions, is equal parts creepy and futuristic, broken up by Gahan’s expressive, orchestral gestures.

Null + Void is the solo project of Kurt Uenala, Depeche Mode’s long time collaborator since as early as 2005’s Playing the Angel. Additionally, Uenala’s fingerprints are on Gahan’s oft-overlooked – but brilliant – solo album Hourglass from 2007, which is distinctively echoed in the atmosphere and tone of “Where I Wait”.

Null + Void’s LP, Cryosleep, will be out on November 3rd and will also feature guest vocals from Shannon Funchess of Light Asylum, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and more. Listen to clips from Cryosleep below:
