[dropcap]On[/dropcap] August 22nd David Bowie received a memorial plaque produced by the Royal Porcelain Manufactory (KPM), at his old Berlin Residence at Haupt Str. 155 in Schoneberg, just 8 months after the legendary singer/songwriter/musician/artist/actor’s death.

Normally a waiting period of five years is required for this honor, but in Bowie’s case an exception had been made stated the mayor, Michael Müller.

“The fact that Berlin today is the city of culture, creativity and freedom, [had with Bowie] taken it’s beginnings,” said Müller who finished his speech by stating: “David Bowie is a part of Berlin”.
