Darkwave Duo Twin Tribes are Haunted by Ghosts in Spine Tingling New Single “Fantasmas”

Darkwave duo Twin Tribes, ahead of their appearance at NYC Goth Festival A Murder of Crows, have released their second single “Fantasmas”, which along with the previously unveiled “Heart and Feather”, is to be featured on the band’s forthcoming sophomore studio LP titled Ceremony.

“Fantasmas”, the Spanish word for Ghost, is permeated by echoing vocal reverb overlaying a spine-tingling journey through the icy phalanges of memories laden with hypnotic guitar melodies guiding the way through dark corridors cast in deep shadow.

Listen below:

Though the song may be about ghosts, it is not referring to anything spectral, as singer/guitarist Luis Navarro explains:

“In Mexican culture, there’s a saying, “Ver fantasmas”, that roughly translates to “See ghosts”, but not necessarily in the literal sense. It’s a metaphor for seeing someone’s dark past.”

Twin Tribes play A Murder of Crows Festival in New York on August 31st, with tour dates to follow throughout the autumn.

Meanwhile, find ordering information for Ceremony when it becomes available through the official Twin Tribes Bandcamp page here.
