The crying faces are all the same
as cold as fake
I fade away through the endless night
a soul in chains
Chilean darkwave act Amöniacö unleashed a dark, ominous track inspired by the film Lost Boys. Describing it as a “vampire un-love song,” And Then It Rains is an eerie track that “takes you to a suffocating, nightmarish state of mind.”
The video, filmed in a graveyard, was made during the band’s trip to Argentina.
“We had the chance to visit Gustavo Cerati’s resting place in the Chacarita Cementery in Buenos Aires, a very beautiful and peaceful place,” says the band. Their homage to the singer (who passed in 2014 from complications from a stroke) resulted in this lovely, atmospheric stroll through a surreal necropolis, interspersed with clips from Lost Boys.

.”The current members of Amöniacö, which formed in 2008, are Carlos Vandal (vox/guitars) and Rod García (drums). After the release of Tu fuego, the band was selected by Robert Smith to be the support act in Chile during The Cure’s LATAM tour in 2013. In 2019 the band was signed by Cleopatra Records and released the EP Azul Prusia.
