Chilean Darkwave Act Amöniacö Returns with the Soaring and Melancholic “Ritos”

Chilean darkwave act Amöniacö have unleashed a raw new single with a potent and enveloping atmosphere: “Ritos”. Using soaring and angular blade-like guitars, the song symbolizes “the search of a way to breathe again”.

Nailing itself directly to a kind of wistful nostalgic mourning, “Ritos” is a melancholic track supercharged with emotion. Featuring a sonorous chorus that fervently pleads for more and more, Carlos Vandal’s plaintive vocals oozes with pathos and sincerity.

Produced by Amöniacö at Noiser studios, the mix was in charge of Amöniacö’s Carlos Vandal himself, and its mastering was commissioned to the British eminence in mastering Barry Grint at Studios Air in London, England.

The current members of Amöniacö, which formed in 2008, are Carlos Vandal (vox/guitars) and Rod García (drums). After the release of Tu fuego, the band was selected by Robert Smith to be the support act in Chile during The Cure’s LATAM tour in 2013. In 2019 the band was signed by Cleopatra Records and released the EP Azul Prusia.

The new single is available on all digital platforms.
