British Post-Punk Veterans The Tea Set Excavate History in Their Video for “Pharaohs”

British post-punk veterans The Tea Set, known for their theatrical live shows support slots with The Clash, U2, and Iggy Pop as well as tours with The Stranglers and The Skids, have unveiled their video for their new track “Pharaohs”, a song featured on their new singles collection Back in Time For Tea,.

The clip sees the band dressed as mummies under a pyramid, paying homage to both the campy nature of the 60s rock, augmented by vintage organs, overlaid with springy guitars and bass, spliced together with footage from the band’s early days circa 1979.

Back in Time For Tea, Includes all of the band’s recordings originally released on 7″ from 1978-1981 as well as two never heard before tracks “Walk Small” and the recently recorded “Pharaohs!”

The album is out July 19th through Cleopatra Records on DigitalCD, and Vinyl.
