Bootblacks Announce Partnership with Artoffact, Kick Off Tour with New Labelmates ACTORS Tonight

NYC-based post-punk mainstays Bootblacks have been keeping a low profile for much of 2019 thus far, hard at work on their fourth record. As such, the band have just dropped a trifecta of exciting announcements, laying the groundwork for the year to come.

Most notably, the band have just signed with Artoffact Records, the Toronto-based offshoot of Storming the Base that’s home to favorites such as 3TEETH, Kælan Mikla, and ACTORS, to name a few. In tandem, the band have announced the title for their upcoming fourth LP, due out later this year. Titled Thin Skies, this new LP will see the quartet breaking down boundaries between familiar subgenres and expanding their sonic palate, with help from engineer/producer Jason Corbett (frontman of ACTORS), who was tapped to produce the record.

Lastly, Bootblacks and ACTORS are joining forces for an extensive 15-date tour, which kicks off tonight in Vancouver with fellow labelmates Spectres. For those unaware, this pairing is a formidable force, as both bands are among the best live acts the current scene has to offer. Check below for the full tour schedule, and stay tuned for more Bootblacks news to follow.
