Alien Sex Fiend to celebrate their 35th Anniversary with new compilation
Back in 1982, The Batcave was born, and along with it Alien Sex Fiend. The band’s founders and only consistent members Nik Fiend (Nick Wade) and Mrs. Fiend (Christine Wade) are celebrating their 35th anniversary with a special release through. Cherry Red Records. this August.
The new 3-disc Alien Sex Fiend anthology will include five previously unreleased tracks, including two new songs and unreleased mixes of Now I’m Feeling Zombiefied and I Walk the Line.
Fiendology: 35 Year Trip Through Fiendish History 1982-2017 A.D. and Beyond is set for release on August 25. The tracklisting includes 37 songs, including remixes, demos and more. Naturally, no Alien Sex Fiend release would be complete without Nik Fiend’s iconic artwork, and the the set promises a “collage booklet telling the band’s story in pictures,” and liner notes by journalist Kris Needs and Killing Joke’s Youth.
Alien Sex Fiend are preparing their first new album since 2010’s Death Trip. Two tracks are including on Friendology off that record—which will be titled Possessed.
