Agent Side Grinder have revealed their video for “Stripdown”, the second single from the long-running Swedish post-punk band’s new incarnation, fifth studio album.
The video is a stark studio space performance, bathed in the glow of a red x and enveloped in fog that augments the pulsing atmosphere from the synth-driven track’s Music for the Masses feel, which surprisingly leads into riveting saxophone solo.
According to the band, “Stripdown” is a song about “tearing down, deconstructing and reinventing yourself during those crucial moments in your life.”
Agent Side Grinder joking refer to the song’s tone as sounding like “Sisters of Mercy enjoying a summer holiday in L.A”, which makes us wonder if someone should rent them a replica of the Monkeemobile from “Black Planet”…
“Stripdown” has been released world-wide as a digital single and a special usb edition via Progress Productions. ASG are currently performing shows all over Europe in 2018-19 to promote their new material.
