Cleveland, Ohio’s Frayle will close out 2026 with two Midwest appearances, bringing their collision of towering doom guitars and spectral vocal harmonies to Michigan and Ohio before returning to the studio to write new material. The dates include an October bill with Chicago gothic post-punk duo Bellhead and a December benefit supporting Toys for Tots.
The announcement follows Frayle’s autumn run supporting pagan-metal duo EIHWAR on the Nordic Ritual Nights tour. That stretch of shows came after an earlier interruption to their touring plans: a spring outing with Dogma was cancelled because of international visa processing delays.
At the center of Frayle’s music are vocalist Gwyn Strang and guitarist Sean Bilovecky, whose partnership brings an unusual delicacy to the considerable weight of their arrangements. Strang’s melodies float above low-tuned guitars, drawing out the tension between the intimacy of her delivery and the force beneath it. Doom’s slow, oppressive heft meets the blurred textures of blackgaze, giving their self-described “lullabies of chaos” an appeal that extends into the heavier reaches of gothic music.
Their latest album, Heretics & Lullabies, arrived on October 10, 2025, through Napalm Records. Recorded by Shane Stanton at Glower Studios and produced, mixed, and mastered by Aaron Chaparian at Iron Audio, the ten-track release includes Walking Wounded, their interpretation of Lana Del Rey’s Summertime Sadness, and Heretic.

Frayle’s first date takes place on Friday, October 30, at Small’s in Hamtramck, Michigan, in the Detroit area. Joining Frayle are Bellhead, whose dual-bass approach gives their gothic post-punk a muscular, abrasive edge. Their stripped-down configuration offers a sharp complement to Frayle’s expansive guitar arrangements, with local act Obselite completing the bill.
Frayle’s final appearance of the year follows on Saturday, December 5, at Mercury Music Lounge in Lakewood, Ohio. Co-headlining alongside A Killer’s Confession, the band will take part in the venue’s annual Toys for Tots Drive. Attendees are encouraged to bring a toy donation to help support families in need during the holiday season.
Both shows offer a final opportunity to catch Frayle this year before their attention turns toward writing. Tickets are available through the links below, with capacity limited at each venue.
