To celebrate the closing of the band’s Autumn tour at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, Uncle Al treated Ministry fans to a special surprise! Jourgensen brought onstage former bandmate Chris Connelly and Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro to perform the goth club classic “(Everyday Is) Halloween” for the first time in more than 30 years.

Perhaps it was the fact that Jourgensen was admittedly “pretty high” and in good spirits that he was willing to dust off the cobwebs on such a track. While introducing the song, he seems to have disavowed performing the song live in the past by saying, “I’ve never done this song onstage.”
Ministry fans know that in fact, the song has been performed live. “(Everyday Is) Halloween” was released in 1984 as the B-side to “All Day”. The band performed the song on tour in 1984 and in 1986, with Jourgensen releasing the live album, Toronto 1986, which includes the song on the tracklist.

Previously, Jourgensen had performed the song acoustically with Dave Navarro this past October on the guitarist’s radio show.
