Andrea P. Latorre and Sergi Algiz, known for being members post-punk band Wind Atlas, have also been making waves with their more synth driven project SDH (Semiotics Department Of Heteronyms), which released its debut EP/single Tell Them this past March.
Heralding the upcoming release of SDH’s self titled debut LP, the duo have now released “The Scent”, a mesmerizing new track that to our ears captures the dissociation that occurs along with an intense emotional memory.
In the song, Andrea’s vocals, notably reminiscent of the late Dolores O’Riordan, have a distinctly Spanish feel that is carried along with a synth melody that would be at home on the soundtrack to a film by a Danish filmmaker—that stars Ryan Gosling.
Semiotics Department Of Heteronyms is out May 25th
