[dropcap]Ahead [/dropcap]of the release of his debut solo record Primo, Matteo Vallicelli—an Italian drummer and composer who is best known for being the live drummer of The Soft Moon, and Death Index, has premiered his video for the track Giungla Elettrica—directed, shot and edited by Margot Pandone.
Regarding the video’s themes, Matteo Vallicelli explains:
“I wanted to explore the boundaries between dreams and reality. Federico Fellini used to say: “The visionary is the only realist”. He has always been a great inspiration for me, and I’m proud to share the same Romagnolo origins with him. The video tells a mysterious story and is set in a fictitious version of the city of Venice. What’s the meaning of the things that surround us? Is the reality that we perceive through our senses more valuable than the one we perceive in our minds? Never underestimate the power of the unconscious”.
Matteo Vallicelli is currently on tour with Trentemøller
