Video Premiere

Watch Tamaryn’s Mesmerizing, Self-Directed, Powerful Femme Experience for “Fits of Rage”

Tamaryn’s latest single was released just two weeks ago, breaking a four-year silence and ushering in a new era for the artistThe track is a commanding step forward and is a perfect introduction to her upcoming LP Dreaming the Dark. With that in mind, we’re honored to premiere the video for “Fits of Rage.”

The video is an intensely personal, femme-driven cinematic affair. Tamaryn herself directed the video, which co-stars V.V. Venom as the High Priestess from the Tarot and features a cameo by Kris Esfandiari of Miserable, King Woman, and NGHTCRWLR, who portrays a nefarious, vampiric entity.

Just as “Fits of Rage” is a song about personal reflection and channeling anger into something beautiful and deeply empowering, the video, in turn, reflects this transformation across a series of powerful movements and images.

“The video is about anger, obsession and transformation. I shot it in a warehouse in downtown L.A. and wanted it to feel like a pretty DIY set. I wanted the magical elements to be grounded by the theatrical props and dirty floors”

“Fits of Rage” is also the first in a series of “Archetype Dramas,” which aim to expand on Dreaming the Dark‘s themes, some of which we’ll be expanding upon soon enough here at Post-Punk.com. In the meantime, be sure to pre-order Dreaming the Dark, due out on March 22nd via Dero Arcade.
